Saturday, March 13, 2004.  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Diane Jones of Jonesville, Colleen Cookson of Shreveport, and Dorothy Metzler of Longview, Tony Novak and Jerry Lawson of Uncertain, and Pam Huguley of Karnack.

Location:  The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

Weather Conditions:  A light rain delayed our getting started in the morning.  The morning low temperature was around 45 F, and the afternoon high was approximately 65 F, with a gentle breeze from the southeast  and partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

Time:  Nets were set up between 10:45 and 12:05 a.m. and closed by 5:30 p.m.  (We were delayed due to rain in the morning.)

Next Banding Date:  Saturday, April 10, 2004 (weather permitting).  Watch our bird-banding home page or check with Tom Walker [E-mail: twalkercaddolaketx(at)att.net] for the latest information.
