Saturday, January 18, 2003.  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants included Ron Munden of Marshall, Sandi Gipson of Longview, Dorothy Metzler of Longview, and Tom Walker of Jefferson.

 

Location:  The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

 

Weather Conditions:  Clear and breezy.  The temperature at daybreak was 21 but had warmed to the low 30's by the time nets were open and reached a high of around 50 in the afternoon. 

 

Time:  Jim and Tom began putting the nets up at 10:00 a.m. and the nets were down by 4:30 p.m.

 

Number of Nets:  Nine (9)
