Saturday, April 23, 2011:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Christian Fields of Jefferson; Beth Honea and son Nathaniel of DeBerry, Texas; Ron & Carolyn Bova of Quitman; Sandi Smith and son Chance of Stanley, Louisiana; Liz Hendrix of Shreveport; Suzanne Sellers and son Matthew of Baton Rouge; Justin Simon of Baton Rouge; Blair Bledsoe of Texarkana, Texas; Roger & Sondra Snyder of New Braunfels;

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 68 F and the afternoon high was 88 F.  The weather was breezy (from the southeast), mostly cloudy in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon.


Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:25 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:00 p.m.
