Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, April 7, 2012:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Gail Masters Karnack; Coleen Cookson Shreveport; Linda Rightsmeier Marshall; Ron Munden Marshall; Beth Honea and son, Nat DeBerry; Charles Steger Atlanta, Texas; John & Cindy Bartos Houston; Barbara Hudson Dallas; Ann Derby Sugarland, TX; Tim Fennell Round Rock; Julia Fennell Harleton; Elizabeth Hendrix Shreveport.


Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 51 F and the afternoon high was 77 F.  The sky was sunny with thin high clouds and a small breeze from the south.


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:50 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:00 p.m.
