Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, April 15, 2017:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Mike Weber of Jefferson; Matt & Beth Honea of DeBerry, Texas; Nat Honea of Tyler; Jana Strange of Jefferson; Sandi Smith and her son Chance of Westlake, LA; Dan Anderson of Marshall; Carolyn & Ron Bova of Quitman.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 57 F and the afternoon high was 77 F.   


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:45 a.m. and all nets were closed by 6:30 p.m.
