Saturday, December 30, 2011:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Charles Steger of Atlanta, TX; Clifton Trusty and children, Kyle and Raven of Grand Prairie; Richard LeTourneau of Hallsville; Lee Fowler of Amarillo; Carol Walliser of Edom, TX; Carol Pace of Marshall; Michael & Mary Scott and daughter, Kaitlynn of League City, TX; John Boigk of Kilgore; Karen Morrie and daughter, Katy of Jefferson; Diane Jones of Jonesville; Zac Burson of Bossier City, LA; Larry Wayne Schultz of Austin; and Donna Schultz of Washington, Pennsylvania.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 38 F and the afternoon high reached 65 F.  It was mostly sunny and there was very little wind.


Number of Nets:  Ten (10)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:15 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:20 p.m.
