Saturday, February 21, 2004 Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Colleen Cookson of Shreveport, Diane Jones of Jonesville, Ron Munden of Marshall, and Dorothy Metzler of Longview. 

 

Location:  The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 35 F, and the afternoon high was 64 F, with clear skies. 

 

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14) 

 

Time:  Nets were set up between 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. and closed by 4:30 p.m.

Location:  The banding activities took place just west of Caddo Lake in Marion County on Boots Walker Road (near Jefferson, Texas).

 

Weather Conditions:  Breezy, with winds out of the south.  The morning low temperature was around 40 F, and the afternoon high was approximately 60 F, with clear skies in the morning and cloudy, overcast skies in the afternoon. 

 

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13) 

 

Time:  Nets were set up between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. and closed by 5:30 p.m.
