Bird Banding at Caddo Lake

Saturday, February 28, 2015:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included our host Tom Walker; Carl Turner of Marshall; Darrell Hudson of Carthage; Kay Watson of Maud; Kathy Reiter of Jefferson; Mike Weber of Jefferson; and Jerome & Amanda Lewis and children Mali, Mena, and Jude

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 30 and the afternoon high was 40 F.  It was breezy with heavily overcast skies all day. 


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:55 a.m., and all nets were closed by 4:45 pm.
