Saturday, January 19, 2008:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Frieda & Wayne Frost of Longview, Tom Palmer of Longview, Holly & Pat Noon of Longview, Terry Davis of Bossier City, Chris Nickleson of Karnack, Joey & Jacob Brooks of Marshall, and Tony Novak of Karnack.  

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 30 F and the afternoon high was 45 F.  Skies were clear with a breeze from the north.

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 9:00 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.
