Saturday, January 23, 2010:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Colleen Cookson of Shreveport; Carol Pace of Marshall; Charles Steger of Atlanta; Christian Fields of Jefferson; Dorothy & Sam Metzler & Linda DeArmon of Longview; Richard LeTourneau of Longview; Matt, Beth & Nate Honea of DeBerry; Darralyn Scobee of Kilgore; Mary Cupples of Marshall; Ernest & Beverly Knott of Uncertain; Jennifer, Tony Jr. & Alie Novak of Lewisville; Tori Bevendge of Lewisville; Megan Oosthuizen of Lewisville; Jane Cheatham of Smithland; LaWanda Law Tyson of Atlanta; and Gary Endsley of Atlanta.


Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 51 F and the afternoon high was 59 F.  The weather was cloudy and threatening rain.

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)


Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:00 a.m. and all nets were closed by 2:35 p.m.  We closed early due to threatening rain.
