Saturday, January 19, 2013:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Sandi Smith and her son, Chance – Mansfield, Louisiana; Tony & Jennifer Novak and their daughters, Alie and Josie – Lewisville, Texas; Victoria Beveridge – Lewisville, Texas; Emma Edwards – Flower Mound, Texas; Jennifer Coy and her children, Chase and Anna – Flower Mound; Mary Ann Vacilek – Irving; Nick Kurz – Sulphur, Oklahoma; Bob Benefield & family – Marshall; Donna Bell – Marshall; Becky Gullette – Carthage; Gail Masters – Karnack; Matt & Beth Honea and sons, Jacob, Sam, and Nat – DeBerry, Texas; Josh Millireins – Crowley, Texas; Rayla Tietge – Crowley; Anthony & Edie Anderson – Longview; Eileen & Tommy Harpsten – Longview; Kevin & Janic Wallace – Longview; Tony & Kimsean Anderson – Longview; Jimmy Mann – Blackwell, Oklahoma; Mallorie Anderson – Arlington; Brandon McCombs – Houston; Holley Noon – Longview; Linda Richtemeier – Marshall; Charles A. Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 27º F and the afternoon high was 57º F.  The sky was sunny with high thin clouds overhead.  There was little to no wind.


Number of Nets:  Eleven (11)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:00 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.
