Saturday, March 3, 2007:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Tony Novak of Karnack, Jim Lambright of Uncertain, and John Owings of Dallas.  

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 30 F and the afternoon high was 54 F.  It was sunny and windy (from the west).

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:25 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 17, 2007:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Colleen Cookson of Shreveport, Billie Wilder of Dallas, Joey & Jacob Brooks of Marshall, Gloria Hetrick of Nacogdoches, Robert Martin of Nacogdoches, Brock Fry of Smithland, Frank & Donna Lang of Jefferson, and Tony Novak of Karnack, with granddaughters Megan and Alie Novak of Lewisville.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 34 F and the afternoon high was 70 F with clear skies and a breeze from the south.
 

Number of Nets:  Thirteen (13)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 8:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:00 p.m. CDST.
