Saturday, March 20, 2010:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Christian Fields of Jefferson; Mary Alice Oatman (with Abigail, Lexi, & Morgan) of Jefferson; Beth & Nat Honea of Elysian Fields; Jody & Jacob Davis of Jefferson; Paul Tidwell of Jefferson; and Ronald Hollomon of Jefferson.

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 55 F and the high was 65 F.  It was partly cloudy at 9:30 a.m., but heavy clouds with rain approached at 11:30 a.m.


Number of Nets:  Five (5)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 9:20 a.m. and all nets were closed by 11:30 a.m. because of rain.
