Saturday, May 5, 2012:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding activities.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson; Sabrina Langley and her son Madison of Bossier City, LA; Zac Burson of Bossier City; Tre Jones of Bossier City; Vincent Dotson of Bossier City; Sandi Smith and son Chance of Mansfield, LA; Larry W. Schultz of Austin; Linda Smiley of Bossier City; April Nance and family members, Robert, James, Audre, and Nathan of Marshall; Chris Nelson, and family members, Chris Jr., Nathan, and Lane of Marshall; Ricky Paul and family members, Peyton, and Connie of Marshall; Charles Steger of Atlanta, Texas; Dr. Michael Weber and son Michael of Jefferson.


Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 69 F and the afternoon high was 90 F.  The sky was sunny and clear in the morning, and then thin high clouds moved in around noon. A small breeze was coming out of the southwest.


Number of Nets:  Ten (10)

 

Time:  We started setting up nets at 8:15 a.m. and all nets were closed by 3:15 p.m.
