Saturday, November 11, 2006:  Dr. Jim Ingold, ornithologist at LSU-Shreveport, led the bird-banding efforts.  Other participants and visitors included Tom Walker of Jefferson, Texas; Becky Gullette of Carthage, Texas; Darla Salone of Carthage; Sabrina Barron of Deberry, Texas; Vicky Amy of Marshall; Heather Woods of San Augustine, Texas; Jason and Olga Carroll of Dallas; and Colleen Cookson of Shreveport, Louisiana.  

 

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 45 F and the afternoon high was 57 F with a strong breeze from the north.  Skies were sunny.
 

Number of Nets:  Twelve (12)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 9:15 a.m. and all nets were closed by 5:10 p.m.

Weather Conditions:  The morning low temperature was 42 F and the afternoon high was 73 F with sunny skies and a breeze from the south.
 

Number of Nets:  Fourteen (14)

 

Time:  We started putting up nets at 9:30 a.m. and all nets were closed by 4:15 p.m.
