A total of  16 birds were caught.  (New birds: 15.  Retrap: 1.  This is low compared to other times.  The birds do not stir around as much in the heat.)

Weather conditions:
Clear skies and warm.  The morning low was in the 50's and the high reached the mid 80's.  No wind.

Time:  Started at 8:20 a.m. and ended at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
Number of Nets: 8

Special Notes:
The area was suffering from a hard drought.  From early July until September 22 there had been no rain.  But, approximately 2.3" of rain did fall the previous weekend. Bird activity seemed suppressed compared to previous fall seasons.

The seed feeders were inactive for the summer.  They began being filled again approximately two weeks earlier.  However, the hummingbird feeders were filled all summer long.
